MUKILTEO WATER AND WASTEWATER DISTRICT
2017 WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS

Notice:
The Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District (District) has awarded its 2017 Water and Sewer Improvements Project Contract to Strider Construction Co., Inc. The contract consists of three schedules.  Schedule A replaces the water main on Lamar Drive and Debrelon Lane.  Schedule B installs a sewer main by Directional Bore between Sunset Lane and Surrey Lane.  Schedule C installs a new sewer main under the railroad tracks near Mukilteo Lane and Loveland Avenue.  Construction for Schedule A is to begin on Monday, March 13, 2017 with Schedule C and Schedule B to follow.  All dates are dependent on weather.

Impacts:
The construction operations for these projects will affect traffic in/along the roads listed above. There will be short term road closures on parts of Lamar Drive, between its Westerly connection to 5th Street and where it turns Southerly (up-hill) and Sunset Lane just North of 92nd ST SW. Residents accessing Lamar Drive and Debrelon Lane will maintain access to 5th Street at the Easterly connection (by the bridge) during the closure. Details are still in process for the few residences on the dead end of Sunset Lane.  The sewer main at Mukilteo Lane and Loveland Avenue will require temporary single lane closures.

The traffic lanes temporarily closed during construction will have flaggers helping to direct traffic around the work zones. There will be some temporary/short term loss of parking as equipment is utilized and pipes are installed along the streets.
