Billing Cycle Change for Everett Customers
Over the past several years the Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District has been working on the installation of an Automated Meter Reading (AMR) System. This system allows meter readers to drive in close proximity to the meters rather than stopping to read each meter. This has greatly improved efficiency, allowing the District to read and bill all accounts in one billing cycle, rather than two. Effective September 1, 2016 the billing cycle for the customers with Everett service addresses will be as follows:
- July-August billing: mailed the first week of September, due 09/15/16
- September only billing: mailed the first week of October, due 10/15/16
- October-November billing: mailed the first week of December, due 12/15/16
Thereafter, your billing cycles will be as follows:
- December-January, due February 15th
- February –March, due April 15th
- April-May, due June 15th
- June-July, due August 15th
- August-September, due October 15th
- October-November, due December 15th
This is a change in billing cycles for Everett service addresses only. The meter reads will be actual reads, not estimated reads.

2016 WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
Mukilteo Speedway, Clover Lane and Washington Avenue Work Begins June 20, 2016
This is an update to the March 16, 2016 letter. The District’s Contractor, SRV Construction, Inc., will begin construction on the Lift Station 10 Force Main Project on June 20, 2016. This project replaces the old PVC force main running along the Speedway with new Restraint Joint Ductile Iron sewer main. The project will start on the East shoulder of the Speedway near Clover Lane, continue up Clover Lane, along Washington Avenue, then ties back in at the Speedway just South of 76th St. The work hours on the Speedway are Monday through Tuesday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM, to avoid severe congestion. All other construction hours are per the City of Mukilteo, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
The construction operations will take place along the shoulders of the roads. Traffic will be flagged and channelized during these operations. Traffic lanes may be temporarily closed in some areas with flaggers helping to direct traffic around and through the work zones. There will be some temporary loss of parking during final paving operations, as equipment is stored and as the pipes are installed along the streets.
